Advanced Radiology, established in 1976,  is a group of board-certified diagnostic radiologists with subspecialty certification in Interventional Radiology.  Based at Regional Hospital in Jackson, TN, the group also provides radiology coverage for McNairy Regional Hospital (Selmer, TN), Volunteer Community Hospital (Martin, TN), and Methodist Hospital Fayette (Somerville, TN), in addition to multiple outpatient facilities in West Tennessee and Middle Tennessee. 

Our mission is to provide the highest quality compassionate care for our patients, while providing the most accurate and prompt interpretations possible for our referring physicians.  We strive to improve the health care delivery system on a daily basis.  As such, Advanced Radiology has developed its own web-based order entry/voice recognition transcription site, which has been copyrighted.  Reports are available immediately upon completion of dictation to referring physicians located anywhere in the world with internet access. This is a vast improvement in patient care when compared to most practices, where reports are manually transcribed, reviewed, signed, and faxed…a process which may take 24 hours or more.

Advanced Radiology has provided cutting edge interventional services since 1995.  The first TIPSS (Transjugular Intrahepatic PortoSystemic Shunt) procedure for severe liver failure, the first EVLT (EndoVenous Laser Treatment) for varicose veins, the first SIRT (Selective Intraarterial Radiation Treatment)  and LC Beads (Transarterial chemoembolization) for liver cancer patients in this region were performed at Regional Hospital.  Patented medical devices have also been developed for dialysis patients.
